NeoCodex was founded in 2002 by some of Spain's most respected and well-known scientists, bringing together the best of biomaterials and innovative genomic analysis methods to the world of genomic discovery, diagnostics and drug development.
Today NeoCodex is working with leading global pharmaceutical, government and academic institutions in the design and implementation of new biomarker studies. The company owns patents on genetic markers related to cardiovascular risk, osteoporosis and reproductive abnormalities.
Notable research programs and collaborations at NeoCodex span interest in sharing knowledge with both industry and academia. NeoCodex is currently working with several hospitals seeks to uncover a relationship between a patients genetics and their individual response to chemotherapy treatments. NeoCodex is also actively engaged in mapping of the entire Spanish genome (with completion expected in late 2008).
